This work is inspired by the water and land of Mankato that has been a big part of the local community and atmosphere. The piece is made to highlight the importance of these local waters and lands. The overall form is an abstract expression of waves, cascading over arches inspired by the space it is located. The graphics on the paper are topographic snapshots of Mankato’s elevations and run along the paper representing the idea of change overtime.
